This wall hanging represents the big waves and rollers building up in the ocean and then breaking out to at sea.

There are calmer water movements lapping near the shore.

The fabric and lace used have been recycled from old clothes and have been hand painted with dye.

They have then been appliquéd with hand and machine stitch onto scrunch dyed viscose fabric. The work was subsequently quilted to a piece of indigo dyed velvet devoré.
