Higgs Boson Collection

These three works celebrate the start of the CERN experiment to discover the Higgs Boson particles from collisions in the Large Hadron Collider. The paper which has been laminated to translucent fabric is from various printed articles on the experiment.

For both ‘Mysteries of Matter’ and ‘Collision Course’ the same techniques are used as in the largest piece of work, but without a backing fabric. The result is that the quilting stitches are more like embroidery, and the fabric retains its translucent quality.
