A Business Journey

This piece of work depicts travel on a business journey through the world of fashion accessories; a notoriously difficult and hostile landscape.

It began with hope and excitement, after noticing quantities of waste material scattered on the floor of a factory making wet-suits. I made the early steps on that business path by designing some quirky bags using the discarded fabric. From that point on, there were many ‘highs’ and ‘lows’; uplifting encounters mixed with wishful thinking and huge disappointments.

The five year journey ended in failure, but it has left me with a wealth of memories and experience.

The story of this Business Journey is stitched out in comic book style onto a ground of unused bag labels from the closed business.
